Beyond Convention

My kids were not too happy when I told them they’d have to make do with last years costumes or come up with some ideas from home. I would have loved to go out and buy them new kids costumes, but I just didn’t have the money. I just didn’t know where I could come up with the extra money. Raising three kids on my own takes every dime I have just to keep them in new shoes and clothes for school, so this year kids costumes just ain’t happening. I hated seeing their disappointed faces when I told them, but I had no options. When you can’t afford something, you just can’t afford it. But of course, being kids, they couldn’t fathom the idea of mom being broke.
While talking with the neighbor next door, I found out that she had just purchased brand new child costumes for her kids. I couldn’t understand how she could afford them when she was in the same boat I was. She said she found an online site that has a childs halloween costume selection that was more than reasonably priced. I asked her to give me the link to the website for my kids. I couldn’t believe all the neat childrens costume choices they had available. I was really surprised at how little they cost. They had fantastic choices of car racers, cartoon characters and many other costume ideas.
They had all kinds of costumes for kids that my brood would just flip over. There were super heroes, pirates and so many different costume ideas for kids. I was so excited about telling them about the new costumes they were getting this year. This news couldn’t have come at a better time, since there’s halloween parties at school and so many of the kids have new costumes. Now my kids won’t have to wear old kids costumes for their party at school. When the kids found out about all the selections they could choose from, they were thrilled. Their biggest task now is making a decision on their which costume they wanted. My older son didn’t know if he waned to be Batman or a ninja. My middle child wanted to wear a firemans costume or the Tony Stewart racer childs costume. My daughter, who would make a beautiful little princess or fairy has decided on being a banana. When she saw the banana costume that was that. My daughter was the first one to make her final decision. I’m just grateful that I was told about this super savings store that has every imaginable costume that you could think of for kids.
Thanks to the low cost of these costumes, I was able to save a little money. It also made three little kids very happy. It was surprising how many accessories they offer for halloween. There are masks for some of the costumes and wigs that can go with all kinds of outfits. I saw some pretty awesome halloween decorations for the home, too. The kids talked me into buying a few things to decorate the house with. Ordering bats and spiders, a door cover and a window clings is what the kids talked me into. After checking out the costume selection over and over again, my kids finally knew what they wanted to be for Halloween. My oldest decided on the batman costume. My number two son chose the cool pirate costume. Know matter how many costumes I showed my daughter, she still wanted to be a banana.
I placed our order for the costume for child selections and was amazed at how soon our order was delivered. The children were so anxious to model them for me. My little pirate and batman were so awesome. I have to say, that the banana costume was just adorable.

We’ve already started getting ready for Halloween this year. I bought quite a few items for a spooky décor. The kids Dad is just as anxious as they are. He really goes all out for this holiday. The front yard becomes his museum of spooky creatures. He even bought sound effects this year to make things even more halloweenish. He’s really getting a kick out of planning this halloween. The boys are helping him with all the set ups and wiring he needs done. They’ve bought so many halloween decorations and just keep buying more. Where he plans on putting it all is beyond me. I had to put my foot down when he suggested we have a haunted house in our back yard. We have Christmas coming soon and we can’t spend so much on just the one holiday.
So, I couldn’t let him go crazy on spending. My husband found a pretty good online store with plenty of cheap halloween decorations and props. I really liked the strobe light he decided on with added thun der sounds. I gave in a little on the props because they had such unique items. The fog juice he ordered is really neat. It really adds to the scary ambiance already in progress. I also conceded to the dropping zombie guy he wanted. It really is pretty awesome. We will hang him just above the top step on the porch. Added to that is a voice changer and a hand that crawls to set right next to our candy dish. I figured if they have all this in decorations, maybe they have great babies costumes and bigger kids and baby haloween costumes too. There were all kinds for all ages and not very expensive I might add. You could find several newborn baby costumes and others for every age group. Since we have an infant, a toddler and two older boys, I thought this would be a great place to get the outfits for halloween. I looked through the baby bunting costumes for my youngest and found quite a few choices of costumes for babies. One of my favorite babies costume idea was the little hot dog bunting outfit. My husband preferred the football costume for the baby. There is just so many cute baby halloween costume ideas to choose from. There is everything under the sun as far as costumes for babies. But the strangest looking of baby halloween costume ideas was that of a car air freshener. I couldn’t picture dressing our baby boy in a baby halloween costume that resembles an air freshener. Our little newborn boy got to wear one of the football baby bunting halloween costumes. Since he chose our sons’ costume I got to pick the minnie mouse costume I wanted for our baby daughter.
We let the older boys decide for themselves what costumes they wanted this year. Wolverine was the character costume that David chose. Our oldest decided to pick one of the movie character costumes and chose Beetlejuice. We were asked by our kids to get some costumes of our own for this Halloween. I wasn’t too sure I wanted to get all dressed up. But after giving it some thought, it sounded like fun. Just for the heck of it we checked out the selection for adult costumes. They did have a great selection of adult costumes at this online site. I was partial to the zombie prom queen costume at first. My husband thought about being a swashbugling pirate at first. But we ended up choosing the popeye and olive oyl costumes, since we are a couple anyway. Him and the boys got their decorations and props, we all got our costumes and it wasn’t nearly as expensive as we thought it would be. This halloween will be one of our best.
