I found out we were going to attend a Halloween party at my husbands’ bosses’ house. It was suppose to be some type of costume ball. They want us all in renaissance festival costumes. Like I told my husband, the kids don’t even have their costumes for this year. I didn’t want our costumes to leave us broke. I wasn’t sure if we could afford our costumes and the kids. He said it wouldn’t be a problem. We agreed to go as cheap as we could on our costumes for the party. So we decided to go online and see what we could find for the party.
We found a lot of costumes that were perfect for the Halloween party. There were many costumes my husband found that he liked. I did find a queen costume that I liked very much. It was very cheap when you consider how exquisite it was. But there were several other costumes I liked too. I wasn’t the only one having a hard time deciding, so was my husband. He found more than one costume he wanted too. He thought about the renaissance king costume. He almost gave in and bought it. But then he ran across a knight of the round table costume and considered that one too. Then he saw a costume he claims is the real him. He saids its what he would have been if he lived back in those days. Where does he get that idea? He chose to wear a renaissance pirate costume. I think he will really look great in that costume. As for me, of all the renaissance women’s costumes I checked out I liked the renaissance maiden the best. Although there were quite a few costumes I liked, I liked the maiden costume the most. Now that our adult size renaissance costumes were taken care of, it was the kids turn.
The kids had no idea what they wanted to be yet. So, we went back to the internet to see what suggestions they had. The kids wanted to see if there were any costumes that they could wear at this online site. I didn’t think they would go for costumes in this era. They really did find a few costumes on this Halloween site. First we looked for a costume for our daughter. I think she found as many likable costumes to choose from as I did. Even though, her final decision was a princess costume. Our son had no problem making his choice. He knew exactly what he wanted to be His choice of a medieval renaissance costume was that of a royal knight. He found his costume in no time. So, now everyone was taken care of for their Halloween night. At least I thought so. Everyone had come up with certain items they needed for their costumes. My husband and son needed swords and special boots for their costumes. Among the guys order I also added a purse and shoes for our daughter. I had a couple of renaissance dress accessories I would need too. I found a headpiece, veil and shoes to go with my maiden costume. Now we had everything we needed. Everyone had everything they needed for Halloween. So all there was to do now was wait for them to be delivered.
It didn’t take very long. We all had to try our costumes on, naturally. We were all very pleased with the way our costumes looked. My husbands pirate costume was really awesome. I had a pretty nice costume myself. The kids looked great in their Halloween costumes and they loved them. All in all, I’d say this Halloween is going to be a pretty good one. Even if we do have to spend the evening with his boring boss.
