I found out we were going to attend a Halloween party at my husbands’ bosses’ house. It was suppose to be some type of costume ball. They request that we all wear renaissance dress costumes. I felt bad, because we hadn’t bought the kids costumes yet. I was worried about the cost of our renaissance costume clothing. I didn’t know if we had the money to buy costumes for all of us this year. My husband swore we could manage it just fine. We just had to find some cheap renaissance costumes for us to wear just for this one occasion. We looked up Halloween costume stores on the internet.
There were quite a few nice looking renaissance costumes for us to choose from. My husband found quite a few costumes to his liking. I found a lovely renaissance queen costume I felt was fitting for me. It was really quite gorgeous and it didn’t cost as much as you would think. But there were several other costumes I liked too. I wasn’t the only one having a hard time deciding, so was my husband. He ran across a lot of costumes he would like to have. He thought about the renaissance king costume. He really liked that kingly men’s renaissance costume. After the king costume he saw a knight of the round talbe costume and wanted that too. Then he saw a costume he claims is the real him. He claims it’s the inner him. I say it brings out his true fantasy. He chose to wear a renaissance pirate costume. I have to admit, he will look pretty awesome in it. As for me, of all the renaissance women’s costumes I checked out I liked the renaissance maiden the best. Even though there were several possibilities of renaissance dresses to choose from, that’s what I decided on. Now that our adult size renaissance costumes were taken care of, it was the kids turn.
The kids had no idea what they wanted to be yet. So, we went back to the internet to see what suggestions they had. The kids wanted to see if there were any costumes that they could wear at this online site. I didn’t think they would go for costumes in this era. There were a few costumes they liked on there. Now we were checking for the right costume for our daughter. I think she found as many likable costumes to choose from as I did. But she finally settled on the princess renaissance costume for her trick or treat night. Our son had no problem making his choice. He knew just what costume to choose. He decided on a knight of the round table. He found his perfect costume right away. Now everyone had what they needed for Halloween. At least I thought so. They’ve all decided that they want a few more things to go with their costumes. My husband and son needed swords and special boots for their costumes. Our daughter also needed shoes and a renaissance purse to go with her costume. There were a couple of things I wanted too. I ordered my headpiece,veil and shoes for my maid marian costume. Now, we were done with the ordering. We all had the accessories we wanted to go with our costumes. So all there was to do now was wait for them to be delivered.
The delivery was a lot sooner than we expected. Of course, we had to see what we looked like in our costumes. Everyone was pleased with the choices they had made. My husbands pirate costume was really awesome. I had a pretty nice costume myself. The kids looked great in their Halloween costumes and they loved them. All in all, I’d say this Halloween is going to be a pretty good one. Even if I am stuck going to his bosses’ party.
