My husband informed me that his boss was throwing a Halloween party and we were invited. It was suppose to be some type of costume ball. We were all asked to come in renaissance costumes. I was a little concerned because we hadn’t even bought the kids costumes for trick or treat yet. I didn’t want our costumes to leave us broke. I wasn’t sure if we could afford our costumes and the kids. My husband swore we could manage it just fine. We just had to find some cheap renaissance costumes for us to wear just for this one occasion. So we decided to go online and see what we could find for the party.
They had a fantastic selection of costumes for the renaissance era. There were many costumes my husband found that he liked. I found a few I really liked too. As lovely as it was, it really wasn’t all that expensive. But I also found a lot of other possibilities too. My husband was also having a decision making problem. He found more than one costume he wanted too. He thought about the renaissance king costume. He really liked that kingly men’s renaissance costume. But then he went from royal king to knight of the round table. Finally he found the costume he felt was perfect for him. He claims it’s the inner him. What he would have been back in those days is hung. He chose to wear a renaissance pirate costume. I think he will really look great in that costume. As for me, of all the renaissance women’s costumes I checked out I liked the renaissance maiden the best. Although there were quite a few costumes I liked, I liked the maiden costume the most. Now that our adult size renaissance costumes were taken care of, it was the kids turn.
The kids had no idea what they wanted to be yet. So, we went back to the internet to see what suggestions they had. The kids wanted to see if there were any costumes that they could wear at this online site. I didn’t think they would go for costumes in this era. There were a few costumes they liked on there. Now a hunt was on for a girl renaissance costume for our daughter. She also had a few costumes that she liked. But she finally settled on the princess renaissance costume for her trick or treat night. There didn’t seem to be a problem when it came to our son choosing a costume. He knew exactly what he wanted to be He decided on a knight of the round table. He found his perfect costume right away. Now we all were supplied with our Halloween needs. Or so I thought. Now everyone is finding that they need renaissance costume accessories too. We placed an order for boots and swords for the guys. Among the guys order I also added a purse and shoes for our daughter. There were a couple of things I wanted too. I chose a headpiece, veil and my costume shoes for maid marian. Now, we were done with the ordering. Everyone’s costumes and accessories were on order. So all there was to do now was wait for them to be delivered.
The costumes arrived much sooner than we thought they would. We all had to try our costumes on, naturally. Everyone was pleased with the choices they had made. My husband made a fine choice from the mens renaissance costume selection. My lady renaissance costume wasn’t bad either. The kids looked great in their Halloween costumes and they loved them. I predict that this Halloween is one we will remember for a long time. Even if I am stuck going to his bosses’ party.
